Double OverheadAt the world famous Hollywood & Highland plaza the Air Force Expo will display super sized models of aircraft, historical military photos, incredible satellite pictures and flight posters from the Air Force’s history through it’s reach to the future. Visits by Astronauts and Pilots for autographs will be a highlight. The USAF 80 foot long tour van “Do Something Amazing” showing Air Force flight videos, an F-22A mini jet, a flight video game, and a spinning gyro chair will amaze every age group. Rifle combat demonstrations, martial arts demos, and special lectures on survival tactics will thrill the Adults.In The Clouds

The thrilling Air Force Honor Guard will perform their precision rifle maneuvers throughout the day in the main plaza. The Explosive Ordinance Removal Robot will be featured and demonstrated in the courtyard. The Air National Guard Dixieland Tailgaters and the The Air National Guard Band of the Southwest will provide tunes throughout the weekend. Special performances by the Rhythm and Brass Ensemble from the ANG will happen on the main stage. Other groups include, "Patriots In Blue" Jazz Ensemble, MIB "Musicians In Blue" Jazz Combo, and the rock band, "Shockwave."Jet with Missiles

 

Displays of original art from Airmen all over the southland can be viewed throughout the complex. An astounding exhibition by a local Aerospace giant will fill the rotunda in front of the elegant Kodak Theater. Parked at the entrance to the plaza will be a real F-16 jet engine in a special glass case for up close viewing. Over the MountainsExhibits from March AFB will recall the long local history of the Force in Southern California. The exhibit from Vandenberg AFB will educate the public on our rocketry capabilities. Pilot in CockpitSpecial displays from Edwards AFB will excite viewers about flight and special aircraft. And the satellite and missile exhibit from Los Angeles’s base in El Segundo will amaze everyone. A unique photography and video display from the Combat Cameraman’s’ Association will take the viewer from the Air Force’s Heritage to it’s new Horizons.

 

Every day of the Expo a flyover of aircraft will happen across Los Angeles. Each day a different aircraft will take a low-level route that will be announced so that citizens of Los Angeles can look up and experience the awesome power of the Air Force.
